FAQs:

When you say “equivalent to an MBA” what exactly do you mean?

An ILM Level 7 is broadly comparable to postgraduate degree level work (such as a Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc), or Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree).

Qualifications attract “credits”, these are calculated by looking at the time it takes a student to successfully complete their chosen program of studies and the level of difficulty involved. One example would be the level of critical, thinking required at the higher level (5,7 & 8) qualifications. The usual calculation is 1 credit for every 10 hours of guided learning hours.

Additionally, Ofqual issues guidance on what level study programs are and what qualifications they lead to.

Simply by looking at the title of a qualification you will be able to see how difficult it is, how long it will take the average learner to complete, and its general content. As an example it might be helpful to know that:

GCSEs (grade A*–C) are level 2
GCE A levels are level 3
A post graduate qualifications are level 7
A PhD is a level 8.

(Source = Ofqual )

So, are you saying I will have an MBA at the end of this program?

No, an MBA is a specific title/type of qualification. A “Masters of Business Administration” this qualification is normally sought out for individuals operating as senior executives in the corporate world.

We are saying the level of your qualification in coaching and mentoring is set at the same level and when considering the amount of study and time it will take, as a more or less good comparison.

I.E., an MBA is set at Level 7, it has about 180 credits. Most MBS’ are taken over 2 / 3 years. Our Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring is set at Level 7 and you will have 3 years to complete the program. We estimate number minimum number of direct teaching hours on our program is about 270 or 36 days. (additional study days will be recommended)

Given the above, the estimated guided learning hours for our full program is well over 1000, so can attract about 100 credits.

Our training centre is open most days for personal study, our comprehensive library is there for you to use for additional study and to aid in your research etc for assignments. While we are a private training organization, we behave just like a state college or university.

So, can I get a university degree after completing this program?

Many UK universities will accept level 5, 6 or 7 qualifications as credits towards degree and post graduate degree courses (but check with individual universities first).

Our program is new; it is a work in progress. We are excited to be at the cutting edge of NLP and Coaching training and qualification, and we are still developing the end game as we take each step. We are still working with our professional bodies (ILM, AC, ANLP) to develop a world class program and qualification.

Our end goal has always been to partner with a university and be in a position to offer our students a pathway to a full degree if they wished. This process is ongoing, and we will keep our student body updated at all times as new opportunities are presented.

The BIG news is that this area is changing fast; recently the government minister with responsibilities for universities, Rt Hon David Willetts MP, has published a White Paper on various options for university funding, competition and encouraging the culture of more freedom for private organizations to issue degrees. We will of course be following these developments very carefully and develop our strategy and offerings to our students in line with bets practice and the best possible results for our students.
